Liberia’s CIC is the perfect artist for Valentine’s weekend.

Liberia’s CIC is the perfect artist for Valentine’s weekend.

CIC wants to use the power he has as a musician

“I’m a very romantic person,” he says. His song Morning is written to be something sweet for women to wake up to, and in the video CIC is shown preparing a bowl of strawberries and taking them on a tray up to his beloved in bed.

“A lot of my songs I write [about] women… because I feel they go through a whole lot on a daily basis, so I make it my priority to make songs to ease that stress, and make them feel like there’s a guy out there that’s looking out for me.”

Living in Liberia, which has been through so much in recent years, has made CIC very aware of his power as a musician, and he’s determined to use it well:Quote Message: Looking at an environment where there’s a lot of rape cases, domestic violence, sexual abuse and all that, I think that it is our responsibility from the music side to put out one or two words together to make sure that these women they’re not stigmatised by what they go through.
